CHILDREN'S RACE
The Mt. Pleasant Area Chamber of Commerce hosts the largest Children’s Race in the State of Michigan with over 107 kids ramping up their bicycles last year (2010). This race is held during the Criterium Race on Saturday, June 11th. The cost is FREE and parents will need to register and sign a waiver for their children to participate. More information on the children's race will be included in your child's Friday Folder. (You can pre-register your child at the Chamber Office located at 200 East Broadway Street, Mt. Pleasant) The FREE Kids Race does not require the children to purchase a One-Day License. However, parents will need to fill out the Event Release Form for their children. Helmets are REQUIRED for all Le Tour riders! This race is sponsored by Isabella Bank.
Be sure to attend the Optimist Club Bicycle Safety Check & Course in Downtown Mt. Pleasant on Saturday June 11th from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. located at Isabella Bank's Corporate Office Parking Lot at 401 N. Main Street. They will be giving away FREE children's helmets to the first 100 children in need of a helmet (located at the regisration tent on University Street.)
BUSINESS RELAY RACE
This is an opportunity for businesses to organize their teams of four members with a registration fee of only $50.00 per team. Each team member will ride a short distance before handing over their bike to the next team member. The winning team donates all the proceeds from this race to the local charity of their choice. Coordinated team shirts or funny costumes are encouraged. The Business Relay Race is held during the Criterium Race on Saturday, June 11th. For guidlines and registration please click here! FAMILY FUN RIDE
This is a chance during Saturday afternoon for families, senior citizens and kids to take a very leisurely ride around the one mile course route downtown on Saturday, June 11th accompanied by some of the pro racers. (Regisration will take place the day of the event or to pre-register you may visit the Chamber Office at 200 East Broadway Street.) This race is sponsored by MidMichigan Health.
